Covid-19 (Coronavirus) … Update posted January 5th 2022

Hi everyone. While we are awaiting the latest guidance from Scottish Government, we wanted to let everyone know from Clouds B&B how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected us and what it means for our future guests, so please read our statement below. We’d also very much like to Thank guests who stayed with us throughout 2021 for being so respectful to the measures we put in place for their and our safety. First of all, and most importantly, we hope you, your family and friends are all well. We’re all healthy, looking after ourselves, and looking forward to welcoming each of you to Clouds. Our promise to you is that we’ll take the very best care of you while you’re here.

We have received official Scottish tourist board recognition that our business has confirmed to government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing. You will see the official ‘We’re good to Go’ logo across this website and our other platforms.

Advance-only bookings are accepted, assuming there is availability.

We are lucky to be surrounded by four acres of land here at Clouds, so when you do stay here you’ll be surrounded by thousands of metres of fresh Scottish air - and that’s before you step outside our front gate on your way to the hills! Ferries are operational, so onward journeys to the Western Isles or to/from Mallaig should be possible. Please check with your ferry operator in advance.

At Clouds, we currently have social distancing measures in place, in line with Scottish Government guidance. We’ll adapt as official advice changes. We’ll let you know what to expect, and how we can communicate with you while you’re at Clouds. Don’t worry - we will still be able to answer every question that you have, in real-time, while you’re here. We will have extra safety signage / hand sanitisers in place. PLEASE read instructions. It will help you to stay safe and it will help us to know you’re safe!

Our Reception area meets social distancing requirements, but for your safety, we have introduced a new self check-in system for your convenience if you need to check-in while we’re not here. We’ll email you in advance of your stay with details.

If you are staying for more than one night, after you have left for the day, we will only enter your room to replenish breakfast items, remove any crockery and cutlery you have used, and empty the bins. There will be a few brief instructions for you in the room which will help us with this.

Restaurants and cafe’s are all now open, though capacity indoors may be restricted. Some information on the most popular ones are in your room - We can send further details in advance if you wish. We have put a Microwave in each guest room for your assistance while Covid-19 is still with us. If you have your own Self-contained barbeque, this can be used outside, away from the house and outbuildings. We can provide seating for you outside. You may NOT under any circumstances cook food in the guest rooms.

We cannot accept any Covid-19 related responsibility for the health and wellbeing of you and your fellow guests while you stay at Clouds. You are strongly advised to take out personal and/or travel insurance, including cancellation insurance.

Please do not attempt to stay at Clouds if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 in immediate advance of your stay with us.

We reserve the right to cancel your stay at short notice should any of us at Clouds show symptoms of Covid-19. This is obviously for your safety.
